Hoffenheim defender, Kevin Akpoguma will play no part in Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Guinea-Bissau on Monday.
Akpoguma suffered a facial injury in the first match at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Friday.
The centre-back was replaced by West Bromwich Albion’s Semi Ajayi on 56th minutes after sustaining the injury.
Head coach, Jose Peseiro also expressed his fear about the Injury in his interaction with the media after the game.
thedabigal learnt that Akpoguma was not part of the Super Eagles training on Saturday night and is now expected to miss the reverse fixture.
Ajayi is expected to pair Calvin Bassey in central defence against the Djurtus.
