“6 babies in this economy” – Netizens react as Nigerian woman reportedly gives birth to sextuplets

Mixed reactions have trailed the news of a Nigerian woman who recently gave birth to six babies at once in a hospital somewhere in Nigeria.

A doctor working at the hospital shared the news on the microblogging platform, X, on Monday, January 29, sparking mixed reactions on social media.

@ehikowoichoo_ disclosed that they initially thought the woman was carrying 5 babies but were surprised to find a sixth child during delivery.

She tweeted,

“We were expecting our patient to deliver 5 babies but we found a 6th baby intra op.
What a day.

Follow-up tweet:

No, I’m not a vet doctor. It’s 6 human babies ????????

Yes. It is in this Tinubu economy ????”

She also disclosed that the woman had the babies via IVF.

Netizens have taken to the internet to express their shock at the number of children born at once and questioned how the family would financially provide for all 6 babies.
