N12bn outstanding allowances: Shehu Sani commends Nigerian Govt

Senator Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker, has commended the Nigerian government for the payment of N12 billion outstanding allowances owed the Super Eagles and other national teams.

thedabigal recalls that President Bola Tinubu on Sunday approved the payment of N12 billon outstanding backlog for Nigeria’s National teams of various sports, including the Super Eagles.

Reacting, Shehu Sani in a post on his official X handle, described the move as unprecedented.

The former lawmaker charged Super Eagles players to be motivated by the gesture, saying they have no reason to disappoint the country.

The post reads, “The payment of N12Billion Super Eagles outstanding debt by the FG is commendable. This is unprecedented.

“The Coach, the Players and the Management of the national team have NO reason to disappoint the country. The Super Eagles must bring home the Cup. @thenff”.
