Recording Academy has reacted to the purportedly leaked winners list of the upcoming 2019 Grammy Awards.
Social media has been on fire with series of users commenting on the leaked list since it surfaced on the internet. The list is a video that shows alleged winners from the Recording Academy’s website.
However, reacting in a statement, the Recording Academy spokesperson says;
“There is no legitimacy to this. Grammy Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the Grammy Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered by Deloitte in sealed envelopes.”
The Grammy awards is considered one of the highest honours in music, the 2019 Grammy is slated to take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 10.
