Controversial and self-acclaimed “Special one” Jose mourinho, ex-porto,Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United, after close to a year of being without a managerial job has finally landed a role as a sport pundit on Sky sports.
He joins Sky Sports as commentator & his first appearance will be against his ex-clubs Man Utd vs Chelsea on Sunday.
His history in club management has been filled with controversial headlining comments as well as trophy-laden right from his early venture into management at Porto, capturing the footballing world’s attention with an astonishing UEFA Champions League win against Monaco to his treble winning campaign at Inter Milan, the Portuguese has carved a niche for himself in history of European football.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United manager will be a commentator in the Sky Sports studio this season.
Mourinho will make his first appearance in the studio for Chelsea’s visit to Manchester United on Sunday, August 11.
Mourinho said: “The Premier League is a special competition for me, one that takes so much hard work to win and you just can’t take your eyes off the matches every week.
“Sky Sports is the home of the Premier League and it’s a pleasure for me to join this team and help to understand and explain what happened in each match. Football is a huge passion, it means so much to the fans, and I look forward to being part of the Premier League with them until I return to my place on the touchline.”
He will join a team already consisting of Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness and Jamie Redknapp.
