COVID-19: 43 new cases confirmed in Ogun, 38 discharged

The government of Ogun State has confirmed 43 new cases of Coronavirus on Thursday.

This followed the announcement by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday night.

At the moment, the state government said Ogun now has 869 confirmed cases, out of which 19 have died.

A statement shared by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Emmanuel Ojo, has it that the State discharged 38 cases the same day.

In total, thedabigal learned that 609 have been discharged in Ogun since the discovery of the index case in February.

However, there are 241 active cases being managed in the state.

“Ogun State discharged 38 cases of the Coronavirus on 1st June 2020, as it recorded 43 new confirmed cases.

“This makes 609, the total number of cases so far discharged in the State, as 869 total cases have been confirmed since the index case was reported in February.

“There are a total of 19 related deaths already recorded, bringing to 241, the currently active cases in the State,” the statement read.
