Former Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure, has described the club’s failure to win the Champions League “disappointing” and questioned whether Pep Guardiola may have to consider his future if it continues.
City were knocked out of the competition at the quarter-final stage thanks to surprise defeat to French side Lyon last week.
It means Guardiola has failed to get beyond the last eight in each of his four seasons in charge, with the club’s best ever European showing coming in reaching the 2015/16 semi-finals under Manuel Pellegrini.

The Spaniard won the competition twice in the early part of his managerial career, at Barcelona, but also failed to deliver the trophy during his time at Bayern Munich.
