The Georgia secretary of state’s office has confirmed the results after six days manual count of ballots as US president Trump demanded for a recount in the State.
The State of Georgia in the United States has completed a recount of all the ballots casted during the presidential election, and the results confirm Joe Biden’s win in the state, a local official announced Thursday, November 19.
“The audit confirmed that the original machine count accurately portrayed the winner of the election,” a statement posted on the website of Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger said.
The confirmation of the win, makes US president elect, Joe Biden the first Democratic presidential candidate to win the southern US state in almost three decades.
