Lorenzo Insigne hopes to score his 100th Napoli goal, but above all beat Juventus for the Supercoppa trophy. ‘We must play without fear.’

The match is expected to kick off on Wednesday at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia at 20.00 GMT.

The trophy between Scudetto and Coppa Italia holders will be decided after 90 minutes, extra time or even penalties.

Insigne has 99 goals in the Partenopei jersey, so could mark silverware with his Century.

“I am dreaming more of the victory than my 100th goal. That’s what really matters, it’s less important whether I score or not,” assured the captain in his press conference.

Napoli rediscovered their form in spectacular fashion with a 6-0 victory over Fiorentina on Saturday.

“Aside from the 6-0 result, we put in a great performance against Fiorentina. We know this is a difficult game against a great team, but we’ve prepared well and will try to give our all on the field.

“This Cup means a great deal to us, the fans, the club and the city, so we will aim to bring it back for them.

“Since the Fiorentina game, I’ve seen my teammates totally focused in training. We had the day off yesterday, worked well today, we just have to play the way we know how, without fear or timidity.”

Napoli beat Juventus on penalties in the Coppa Italia Final six months ago, following a 0-0 draw.

“That was six months ago, this is a very different game. It’s a one-off match, we will certainly go into it on a level playing field.

“Juventus are a great team, we will face them with confidence in our own capabilities and it’ll be an even match.

“I have a lot of fellow Italy internationals in the Juve squad, but we haven’t spoken over the last few days.”
