20 years old former Nigeria U17 goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has shot himself into contention for a spot in the senior national team of Nigeria after leading his Israeli side to the top division.
The shot stopper was the main man for Hapoel Katamon in their successful promotion bid to the top league in Israel with as many as 19 clean sheets to his name in 32 games.
As a matter of fact he conceded just 17 goals this season. A form which will no doubt but him in the frame for a senior national team call up with Nigeria.
Adeleye has been on the fringes the past two years but with his team now securing promotion to the top division he will no doubt form a part of the options available to coach Gernot Rohr for the World Cup qualifiers.
For now the trio of Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho and John Noble are the preferred options but all of that can easily change if the Nigerian go ahead to replicate his fine form in the second division when he plays in the top division next season.
