Eid-El-Kabir: NSCDC deploys 620 personnel in Yobe

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Yobe State Command, disclosed that 620 personnel would be deployed to provide security during the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir Sallah celebrations across the state.

The Commandant of the Corps, Useni Navokhi, made the disclosure in a statement signed by the Command’s Spokesperson, ASC Bala Garba, in Damaturu.

Navokhi noted that the NSCDC personnel would be deployed to all Eid praying grounds within the state prior to the Sallah day with a view to ensure adequate security and pre-empt any unwholesome activities that might arise.

According to him Heads of Departments, Unit Heads, Area Commanders and 17 Divisional Officers were directed to be proactive and security conscious in discharging their duties before, during and after the occasion.

The Commandant implored people in the state to give prompt and credible information of suspicious persons and movements to the command, stressing that it would assist to nip in the bud acts of criminality.

While wishing the entire Muslims peaceful celebrations, Navokhi reiterated the commitment of the Corps to collaborate with other security agencies to protect lives and property.
