General Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi Is Dead

Inuwa Wushishi, former Chief of Army Staff is dead.

Former Chief of Army Staff General Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi is dead, according to a family source, the infantry general passed on in a London hospital.

Recall that Gen. Wushishi served as the Chief of Army Staff between October 1981 and October 1983.

Wushishi enlisted into the army on 21 April 1961, where he attended the Nigerian Military Training College, Kaduna and then the Mons Officer Cadet School, Aldershot in the United Kingdom.

He was commissioned as a second lieutenant on 12 January 1962.

Young Wushishi later attended the United States War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania

He was General Officer Commanding, GOC 4 Infantry Division, Nigerian Army in 1976 and Commandant, Staff College, Jaji in 1979.

After retirement from the army, the three-star General went into private business.
