Peseiro replaces Okoye with Adeleye Adebayo for Ecuador and Mexico ties – Sporting Life

Goalkeeper Adeleye Adebayo has been handed a late call-up to the Super Eagles squad for the friendlies against Ecuador and Mexico.

The Israeli-based goalkeeper replaces Maduka Okoye who pulled out of the games due to a shoulder injury.

Adeleye Adebayo is earning a call-up to the Super Eagles for the first time in his career.

He enjoyed a sterling campaign for Hapoel Jerusalem in the Israeli pro league — where he featured in 26 games and kept six clean sheets.

With Okoye out of the team, the former junior international will now rival Enyimba shot-stopper Ojo Olorunleke for the number position.
