Media personality, Fola Folayan has reacted to a video of presidential hopeful, Bola Tinubu saying Buhari wouldn’t have been president without him.

The APC chieftain stated this while addressing Ogun APC delegates ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.

In the trending video, Tinubu said he encouraged Buhari to run for presidency in 2015 after he contested multiple times and lost, adding that he assured him that he would win the election and he eventually won because of his backing.

Tinubu added that it is now his turn to become the President of Nigeria.

His words,

“If not me that led the war front, Buhari wouldn’t have emerged. He contested first, second and third times, but lost. He even said on television that he won’t contest again.

“But I went to his home in Katsina. I told him you would contest and win, but you won’t joke with the matters of the Yorubas. Since he has emerged I have not been appointed minister. I didn’t get contract.

“This time, it’s Yoruba turn and in Yorubaland, it’s my tenure.”

Reacting to the now-viral video, Fola stated that this confirms the general opinion that Tinubu’s presidential bid is fueled by his power lust, and not because he has the best interest of the country at heart.

She tweeted;

“That video just confirmed what we’ve always known about Tinubu’s presidential bid; it’s about him and his power lust. It has nothing to do with Nigeria’s progress. That’s why all he has to say is “emi lol kan”. “It’s my turn”.
