Tears as former police spokesman is buried in Rivers

The remains of the former spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, have been laid to rest.

Omoni was buried on Saturday in his hometown of Rundele community in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The former Police Public Relations Officer died a few days after celebrating his 54th birthday in August.

A valedictorian court session was held on Thursday in honour of the late lawyer organized by Rivers State judiciary.

Dignitaries, including members of the Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Union Journalists, were present at the burial.

Until his death, Omoni was the Divisional Police Officer of Elimgbu police station in Obio Akpor Local Government Area.
