Iconic Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti’s daughter, Yeni Kuti, has caused a buzz online over a video of her dancing energetically and whining her waist at a birthday party.
The 61-year-old dancer and singer took to her Instagram page to post the video of herself shaking her butt vigorously, and it has stirred mixed reactions online.
Yeni Kuti had attended her friend’s birthday party when the Disc Jockey played her nephew, Made Kuti’s hit song, “Free your mind”.
Upon hearing the song, the mother-of-one put all her worries aside and started dancing with reckless abandon, along with two other women.
She captioned the video, “Chaiii!!! DJ played Free Your mind o!!! We freed not only our minds but our bodies too”.
