Barring any last minute hiccup Kelechi Iheanacho will join English Premier League side Nottingham Forest from relegated Leicester City on a four years deal, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
As first reported by Owngoalnigeria, Leicester City are keen on making the deal happen quickly as they aim to rebuild their squad from the funds that will be raised from his sales. A fee in the region of £8m is said to have been agreed between both parties according to sources close to the 26 year old.
Personal terms won’t be an issue with his representatives already done with that aspect of the deal. Other minor details like add ons and bonuses is said to be part of why the deal hasn’t been made official. A routine medical will be conducted when an agreement is found on the above mentioned.
His deal at Leicester City has a year to run further increasing the desperation of the Championship side to sell him before the end of the current summer transfer window.
A late push by AS Roma which was widely reported was knocked back by his camp despite the fact that Jose Mourinho wanted him at the Serie A side and even held talks with his representatives. Iheanacho’s desire is to remain in England, where he is fully settled.
