DMD FC coach Mohammed Ahmad has said fatigue affected his team’s performance in their defeat against Katsina United.

The Maiduguri-based side conceded a brace from Katsina United’s Victor Mbaoma early in the game before scoring a consolation goal in the second half.

Ahmad revealed that his players are stressed out after their late arrival for the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs.

He, however, expressed confidence in his side ability to upturn their defeat on matchday two today.

“We really played against a very experienced side yesterday,” Ahmad told thedabigal in Asaba.

“Our performance was good despite our late arrival for the tournament.

“We came into Asaba late saturday night but that not an excuse but am confident in my players that we can record our first victory against Kano Pillars today.”
