A delegation of Ukelle community leaders in the Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State has appealed to Governor Bassey Otu to complete the North-Ukelle road network and other inner roads in the state.

They said these community roads have been a social and economic albatross to the people.

The leaders, Hon. Ogana Lukpata, Julius Okputu and Prof Michael Okom, expressed gratitude that the governor has already prioritised the Ukelle project.

Congratulating him on his electoral victory, they assured that Ukelle would continue to give the Governor their support every step of the way.

Responding, Otu assured that he would leave no stone unturned in completing the North-Ukelle road network, saying that would help to boost economic activities and relieve the people of much stress.

He expressed dismay that the burden and dilemma of impassable roads and lack of feeder roads plagued the people.

The governor noted that from studies and observations, Ukelle nation is one of the food baskets of the State.

He assured the people of his preparedness to end the people’s persistent cry regarding the road.
