Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro, has named the three footballers he considers to be the “greatest” of his generation.

According to the 31-year-old, they are Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

When asked by Placar magazine to list his top three best, Casemiro said: “I had the pleasure of seeing Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, who are the three greatest of my generation.

“I saw [the Brazilian] Ronaldo, I saw Zinedine Zidane but, without a doubt, these three are the best of my time.

“I never played against Cristiano, thank God! He gave me many titles and victories.”

Ronaldo and Messi have shared 12 Ballon d’Or awards between themselves while Neymar is yet to win the prestigious individual prize.
