CAF Picks Nigeria U20 Winger As Super Eagles Star To Watch Out For In Next Africa Cup Of Nations

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has started it’s countdown to the next Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in Cote D’Ivoire starting from January next year, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

On its social media handle , the African football governing body has been taking a look at players from teams, who have already sealed their spot at the event.

Today’s post on social media platform X was on Nigeria U20 winger Mohammed Ibrahim Beji, a player who is yet to get a call up to the senior national team of Nigeria, how much more a debut for the team.

Beji was a part of the Nigeria U20 team that won the WAFU B championship and also finished third at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations. He was also present in their run to the quarter final of the U20 World Cup in Argentina, where the boys of coach Ladan Bosso caused a huge upset by knocking out the host in the round of 16 and also beating the losing finalist Italy 2-0 in the group stage.

A player of Mavlon football academy of Abuja , he was reported to have signed a deal with Spain’s second division side Cartegena, but the deal broke down due to an ownership tussle. The 19 year old has seven goals from 15 appearances for the Nigeria U20 team.
