The future of Nigeria international left back Zaidu Sanusi lies away from FC Porto according to sources close to the camp of the 26 year old, who is gearing up to represent Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations next year.

Zaidu has been at the Portuguese side since 2020 making a total of 122 appearances with seven goals and one assist. He only recently returned from an injury that has kept him out for a while.

In the January transfer window he is likely going to be taking a leap to the English Premier League with talks said to be advanced between his camp and that of all involved in the proposed transfer.

We gathered a fee in the region of €6m potentially rising to €10 with add ons is what has been agreed between both teams, with West Ham desperate for another options at left back with 33 yeae old Aaron Cresswell the main option at the moment.

Cresswell is likely to leave in the summer making the option of signing Zaidu more of a priority to the team in the January transfer window, not minding the fact that he won’t be readily available as he will be with the senior national team of Nigeria at the AFCON till around February if they go all the way to the final.
