The agent of Fulham wing forward Ademola Lookman has refuse to confirm or deny his invitation to the senior national team of Nigeria for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Lookman who has already applied for a switch of allegiance from England to Nigeria since 2019 after representing England at youth level is believed to be among the four new players in the squad.
As reported by this portal, coach Gernot Rohr called up four new players in the list which will be made official later this week with two of the players on standby due to administrative and sporting reasons.
Ahead of the official release of the list , the representative of Lookman who is on loan to Fulham from German side RB Leipzig stayed coy on his invitation to the national team of Nigeria.
“ Talks are ongoing over a call up. For now that’s all I can say but in the coming days you will get to know more”, he said when we sought to know if he has been called up by Nigeria for the games against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively.
