The report which emanated from the Spanish press say Bayern will target the beanpole forward if Almeria fails to gain promotion to the Spanish top flight at the end of this season.
With 15 goals and five assists this season, the 24 year old was called up to
the senior team of Nigeria for the first time but couldn’t honor the invitation due to travel restrictions owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
His form hasn’t gone unnoticed and according to one of his representatives reports about interest from Bayern has substance in it with a representative of the team reaching out to his management team.
“ How it leaked to the press is what we don’t know but yes there was contact with Bayern Munich although not directly with the club but a member of their backroom staff who handles transfers”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
“ It was more like wanting to know what it will take to sign Sadiq at the end of the season. Such kind of inquiry sometimes means a bid is imminent while it could also mean nothing”, he concluded.
