Akwa United head coach, Ayodeji Ayeni, has revealed his team will respect EFCC Football Club in their Federation Cup Round of 32 fixture.

The Promise Keepers will take on EFCC at the Awka City Stadium on Wednesday.

Akwa United defeated WIkki Tourists 1-0 in the previous round while EFCC edged out Katukan Tsafe FC.

Ayeni expressed optimism that his boys are in good shape and ready to put in their very best to ensure they make it to the next round.

“We have our game plan and tactics on how to approach the game. We have lots of respect for any team we face,” he said in a pre-match interview.

“We will go out there and do our best while focusing on making it to the next round.

“FA Cup is a knockout competition and we know very well that there is always no second chance.”

Akwa United have won the Federation Cup twice in the past.
