Right now, Simi is over the moon following the admiration she received from iconic singer Asa.
Asa, through her instagram page, expressed her love for Simi’s ‘beautiful’ writing skill, which she displayed on ‘Charlie’, a track off her ‘Omo Charlie Campagne’ album.
“Beautiful songwriting! Love ,” Asa wrote alongside the cover artwork on the album that she shared on her instagram page.
On seeing her post, Simi was super exitied, she hurriedly reshared the post on her page, expressing how delighted she was. “Some compliments hit different ,” She said.
Asa and Simi are two leading figures in the sphere of afro-soul music. The track “Charlie” was dedicated to Simi’s father, Engr. Charles Oladele Ogunleye who passed in 2014.
