Battle for Super Eight, relegation fight hots up in NNL

It promises to be an exciting weekend in the Nigeria National League with battle for top spot and relegation survival taking centre stage.

In the Southern Conference, Abeokuta Stormers, Sporting Lagos, Heartland and FC One Rocket will be hoping to maintain their position at the top of the summit.

NNL debutant FC Ebedei, Joy Cometh, Go Round and Ibom Youth will continue their push to survive the drop.

FC One Rocket clash against Vandrezzer FC will be the standout fixture of the weekend.

From the Northern Conference, Kano Pillars, DMD FC and Mighty Jets will be pushing to snatch the remaining Super Eight qualification spot with Katsina United who has already sealed a place in the playoff.

Four teams from each group will compete in the Super Eight playoff.

Top four teams from the competition will gain promotion to Nigeria Premier Football League.
