The announcement was made in a letter signed by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mohammed Salis Gamawa.

Gamawa sighted Umar’s disregard to due process in handling the affairs of the Bauchi Elephants as reason behind the decision.

A new replacement is yet to be announced.

“Failure of the Interim chairman to follow due process in handling the affairs of the club prompted the sacking,” the statement reads.

thedabigal recalled that the Wikki Tourists Interim Management Committee was inaugurated two months ago.

Wikki Tourists are currently preparing for the 2023-24 NNL season.
