German giants Bayern Munich have been rumoured to be keen on Nigeria international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in their bid to sign a defensive minded midfielder before the close of the summer transfer window, OwnGoalNigeria.com understands.

The coach of the German giants Tomas Tuchel is a huge admirer of the Nigerian as he played against his team during his time as coach of Chelsea. He is said to be available on a cut price with just a year left on his deal at Leicester City.

Leicester City are open to the idea of the 26 year old leaving the club this summer rather than leaving for free next summer, however they have been very suitors till date for the fans favourite, who has overcome the fitness issues that plagued his season lats time out.

Ndidi who now operates in an advanced role for the Championship side, who have won four out of their four opening game as they pursue instant promotion back to the English Premier League won’t be joining Bayern Munich.

The club announced that they have brought their summer spending to a close with the acquisition of Harry Kane from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.  However they will be open to the idea of adding a young goalkeeper to their team.

At Leicester City, Ndidi has been in and out of the team making them open minded towards his exit unlike his national team colleague Kelechi Iheanacho, who is in talks with the club over a new deal according to coach of the team Enzo Maresca.

Maresca sees the forward as key to the system of his team’s play and made an open plea to the former Manchester City forward to extend his deal but on a wage cut with his deal having a year to run.
