Big Brother Naija star, Christy O, has taken a swipe at singer Davido for claiming not to know her colleague and the show’s season 7 winner, Phyna.

It all started when Davido liked a viral tweet stating that people who are ardent fans of certain celebrities, like Phyna, display signs of uselessness.

Apparently, Phyna got wind of the fact that Davido had liked the tweet and went online to express her confusion. She questioned what she did wrong and stated that “the hate is real”. She, however, extended her congratulations to the singer on the birth of his twin children.

Davido responded to her tweet and graciously acknowledged her congratulatory message. However, the situation took an interesting turn when he asserted that he doesn’t know who Phyna is. He also stated that he liked the post by mistake.

This sparked a frenzy on Twitter, with many criticizing Phyna for seemingly overrating herself, while others debated whether Davido was lying about not knowing her.

Amid the identity saga, Phyna’s colleague and friend, Christy O, took to social media to defend her and indirectly throw jabs at Davido. She stated that anyone who claims not to know Phyna is living under a rock.

She tweeted,

“It’s only if you live under the rock that you won’t know who @unusualphyna is, that being said , Phyna everybody cannot like you and that’s okay, know this and know peace.”
