BBNaija star, Nengi Rebecca Hampson has been awarded the “Most Famous Celebrity” in this year’s edition of the African Youth Awards.
The reality TV star and enterpreneur beat her fellow BBNaija housemate, Erica Nlewedim, to clinch victory at the award show.
Other African celebrities that made the nomination list are; South Africa’s Boity, Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo, Wema Sepetu, Natasha Donna and Lydiam Jazmine.
The organizers of the vote-based award show announced the winners on their official Instagram account and Nengi emerged winner of the “Most Famous Celebrity” category.

Nengi gained popularity after participating in the 5th edition of the Big Brother Naija reality show. Since her appearance on the show, the Bayelsa Born housemate has bagged multiple endorsement deals and re-launched her shoe retail business ‘Flora’ few months ago. She also acquired a property that befits her new status in an highbrow area of Lagos.
