The House of Representatives has introduced a bill to prohibit crossdressing in Nigeria.

The new bill was proposed by a member of the House of Representatives, Umar Muda.

The bill which was read aloud on the House floor on Tuesday, April 5, seeks to ban cross-dressing, with the exception of individuals using for it entertainment.

If this proposed bill is passed into law, popular crossdressers like Bobrisky, James Brown, and others risk six months in prison.

The bill aims to alter the same-sex marriage (prohibition) act of 2013 by adding cross-dressing to the list of offenses under the act.

“A person engaging in cross-dressing is guilty of an offence and liable to imprisonment of 6months or a fine of five hundred thousand naira.” The bill reads.

Meanwhile, crossdresser and Nigerian Big girl, Bobrisky has churned out a little piece of advise for ‘broke men’, asking them to join him and other crossdressers in the ”crossdressing business” as it is now very lucrative.

“If you are a man and you are still broke!!! Don’t waste time just join this cross-dressing business, there is money in it. You can also cut your prick off if you wanna upgrade well”, he said.
