German Bundesliga side Borrusia Dortmund has join the queue of teams interested in signing Nigerian striker Gift Orban, OGN can exclusively reveal.
Scouts from a host of clubs were at the Jan Breydel Stadium on Saturday and saw the Nigerian increased his goal count for Gent to 19 goals in 19 games with a hattrick against Cercle Brugge. An astonishing return for the 20 year old who only joined the Belgium side in January.
Reports has it that scouts of Borrusia Monchengladbach were in the stands for Orban’s teammate Hugo Cuypers while scouts from Ligue 1 side Lille, English giants Manchester Utd, Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur, Sevilla and Borrusia Dortmund came to run the rule on Orban.
This is coming despite reports suggesting that Lille are the front runners for his signature, with talks already held with his representatives on a deal that could be as high as €30m this summer.
A decision will be made on his future in around two weeks time, when the Belgium league playoff would have ended. Any transfer will see his former side Stabæk get 10% from the fee.
