President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with retired Major General Adebayo Olaniyi for his loss.
Buhari consoled with Olaniyi and his family over the passing of the wife, Alirat Iyabode.
Olaniyi was Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The President joined the relatives and friends of late matriarch to mourn her departure.
Buhari told them find solace in the will of the Almighty God and approximate Alirat’s virtues on earth.
His statement by spokesman Garba Shehu prayed that God will grant the deceased a peaceful rest.
