Victor Boniface rescued a point for Bayer Leverkusen, who held Borussia Dortmund to a 1-1 draw at the BayArena on Sunday night.

Julian Ryerson gave Borussia Dortmund the lead in the fifth minute.

Boniface, however, equalised for the hosts 11 minutes from time.

It was the Nigeria international’s eighth league goal of the season.

The 22-year-old was in action for the entire duration of the game.

His compatriot, Nathan Tella, was an unused substitute for Leverkusen.

Leverkusen, who are unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season, top the standings with 35 points from 13 games.
