The Los Blancos came into the home fixture of their quarter-final tie with the Blues with a 3-1 advantage.

However, they were rocked by Thomas Tuchel’s men, who raced into a two-goal lead thanks to Mason Mount and Antonio Rudiger.

Timo Werner made it 3-0, before Rodrygo pulled one back, taking the match into extra time.

Karim Benzema netted the crucial goal of the clash, to ensure Madrid won 5-4 on aggregate.

They will face the winner of Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid.

Bayern Munich have also been eliminated, after they could only draw 1-1 with Villarreal at the Allianz Arena, after losing 1-0 in Spain.
