According to Sky Sports, the two clubs are in talks about a deal, which could also involve Chelsea veteran left-back Marcos Alonso.
Barca want Alonso to take the place of Jordi Alba in their squad, while they are willing to let one of two forwards Memphis Depay or Aubameyang leave before the window shuts.
There is a feeling among all parties that a deal can be done for Aubameyang and Alonso to switch clubs.
