Chelsea have pulled back from plans to sign Porto midfielder, Jesus Corona.

The Daily Express says Chelsea made tentative enquiries to sign Corona prior to the coronavirus break but they have now withdrawn their interest after chief Marina Granovskaia decided to focus her attention elsewhere.

Corona has been in superb form for the Portuguese side this year, netting four goals and registering 17 assists.

The 27-year-old’s agent Matias Bunge confirmed the Blues made contact as Granovskaia looks to complete her business early this year.

Chelsea have already signed Ajax ace Hakim Ziyech and were looking to add more firepower prior to the COVID-19 suspension.

Granovskaia’s stance changed when she found out RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner became available following Liverpool pulling out of negotiations.
