
Arsenal legend Ian Wright says Wilfred Ndidi is the sort of player Manchester United need to be able to challenge Manchester City for the English Premier League title next season.
United are second behind their city rivals who are in line to be crowned champions as early as this weekend if they beat Crystal Palace and Manchester United lose to Liverpool.
Wright while speaking on what Manchester United need to do ahead of the start of the season he specifically mentioned Ndidi as one player who has what it takes to turn their fortune around.
Ndidi has in the past few seasons emerged as one of the best defensive midfielder in the league and with the 24 year old now fully established as a Premier League player, Wright believe Man United should swoop for him.
He is able to play in double and single pivots and while commenting on his football podcast, Wright said he is of such talent that if money was no option, not only should United acquire him, but they should also acquire any potential replacement Leicester identify, along with the scouts who first found the Nigerian.
