Internet users have been forced to criticize popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer Davido, after a video of him speaking Yoruba was shared online.
The video which was shared via the microblogging platform X, shows the singer wishing people a happy celebration in his native tongue.
The ‘Feel’ crooner struggled while expressing himself in Yoruba language which caused many to focus on his speech.
Many were surprised that the artiste who hails from Osun state where Yoruba is widely spoken, found it hard to express himself in his language.
His struggle resulted to different criticisms from internet users. While some advised him to work on his intonations, others revealed that they were disappointed at his inability to express himself in Yoruba language.
The video which was shared by @DAMIADENUGA had the caption, “Davido speaking Yoruba” with several laughing emojis.
