Ekiti FA meets Gov Oyebanji, receives commitment of continued support

Ekiti State Football Association, headed by Olu Oloworemo, along with the board members, held a crucial meeting with the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on Friday.

The gathering focused on discussing the progress and future plans of the association, while the Governor assured ongoing support for the Ekiti FA.

During the meeting, Olu Oloworemo highlighted the achievements and ongoing initiatives undertaken by the Ekiti State Football Association to promote and develop football within the state.

He shared the association’s vision for the future and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and sports organizations to nurture talent and enhance the state’s sporting landscape.

Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Ekiti FA and commended their commitment to uplifting football standards in the state. Recognizing the vital role of sports in youth development and community engagement, the Governor assured the football association of continued support from the state government.

He also pledged to explore additional avenues for collaboration between the government and the football association, including upgrading the main stadium and stadia across the state, build a football house “Administrative House” of Ekiti FA and provision of resources for development of the football association.

Oloworemo on his part, expressed gratitude to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his unwavering support and commitment to the development of football in Ekiti State.
