The Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka is wearing a new look as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to receive its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
A visit to the square shows massive decorations while members of the party from all parts of the state have also started arriving in the state.
The Director General of the Atiku/Okowa campaign organisation, Prof Obiora Okonkwo who spoke to journalists on Wednesday assured of massive mobilisation of party members to the event.
Meanwhile, Atiku, who is billed to arrive in the state any moment, will move to the governor’s lodge, where he will hold a brief meeting with the state governor, who has been described as his long-time political ally.
Atiku will also meet traditional rulers, town union leaders and market leaders in a separate meeting, before proceeding to Ekwueme square for the rally.
