Chelsea defender, Trevoh Chalobah, has reportedly been told by the club that there is a possibility that he would not represent Mauricio Pochettino’s side again after deciding against a move to Premier League rival Nottingham Forest, Football London reports.

The report claimed that Chalobah wished to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich instead despite the Bavarians’ interest in a loan deal for the centre-back, a move never materialized, given Chelsea wanted to sell the 24-year-old on a permanent basis.

Chelsea were seeking £50 million for Chalobah, a sum that proved excessive for Bayern Munich.

Tottenham Hotspur were also eyeing a short-term loan deal for Chalobah, as per the aforementioned report.

However, with the transfer window shut and the England U21 international remaining at Stamford Bridge, it is believed that he will be on sale in January.

Chalobah is currently sidelined with a hamstring problem.

He is reported to return to action in late September, and with the signing of Axel Disasi, his game time will definitely reduce under Pochettino.
