EPL: I’ll be happy for Chelsea to sack Pochettino – Seaman

Former Arsenal goalkeeper, David Seaman, has said he is “happy” for Chelsea to sack Mauricio Pochettino as their manager.

According to Seaman, it would mean less competition for the Gunners.

Pochettino took over as head coach at Stamford Bridge this summer.

However, the former Tottenham and PSG boss has endured a tough start, with the team winning only one of their opening six top-flight games.

The Argentine is already under significant pressure and several pundits have argued that his job is under threat.

But Seaman is a huge fan of Pochettino, and feels he would only improve Chelsea if he stays at Stamford Bridge.

“Aston Villa beat Chelsea and there was a lot of talk about Pochettino getting sacked,’ Seaman said on his podcast.

“It’s not Pochettino [who is the problem]. If they get rid of him I will be well happy, because Chelsea will be right out of it.

“The longer he stays, the better they will get. There is no doubt about that.”
