EPL: Silva rates Arsenal’s chances of challenging for title

Fulham manager Marco Silva has backed Arsenal to challenge for the Premier League title again this season despite their failure to beat his side on Saturday.

Arsenal looked to have completed an impressive comeback with two goals in three minutes from Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah, cancelling out Andreas Pereira’s early opener.

But Joao Palhinha scored a late goal to ensure Fulham got a point against Arsenal at the Emirates.

Speaking at his post-match press conference after the game, Silva said, “We have great respect for Arsenal. In my opinion, they are going to be even stronger than last season.

“The quality they add for their squad is impressive and I have to say they are going to be contenders again because of the quality they have and the manager they have and all of that stuff.”

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last season behind champions Manchester City.
