Ex-Super Eagles midfielder, Olofinjana lauds quality of play in NNL

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Seyi Olofinjana said he was impressed with the quality of play in the Nigeria National League matchday one game involving Smart City and Edel.

The match at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos ended in a 1-1 draw.

Smart City youngster, Chinonso Uzoma opened the scoring in the 20th minute of the game before Arinze Anya levelled up for Edel in the second half.

Olofinjana commended the NNL hierarchy for their initiative in making the league attractive.

“I’m impressed with what I saw in the game between Smart City and Edel,” he told NNL media.

“Good officiating, fine football artistry by very young players paraded by the two teams. The organisers of the league are doing a good job also.”

The matchday two fixtures of the league will continue this weekend at different centers across the country.
