The coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso has picked a 25 man list of players who will travel to their training camp in Morocco for the final leg of their preparation for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Egypt.
Already 25 players have already attended visa interviews ahead of the trip and it includes four foreign based players, OGN can exclusively reveal. Four players will be dropped from the squad after the training camp in Morocco.
The foreign based players are Abel Ogwuche of Swedish side Trelleborgs, Michael Ologo of Turkish side Istanbulspor, Mohammed Beji of Spanish side Cartegena with Alabania based Hamzat Ojediran Basit of FK Egnatia completing the foreign pros.
In Morocco, they will likely play two test games against Gabon and Benin Republic which will be their third international friendly game in the build up to the tournament. On Saturday, they will play Zambia at the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja.
One major omission is the captain of the team all through the camp in Abuja in Ibrahim Yahaya. Yahaya was appointed as captain after injury knocked off Razak Adegbite, who captained the team to WAFU B championship glory.
Another name missing from the final list of players is enterprising full back Dominion Ohaka, who was a bundle of delight for the B team of the senior national team of Nigeria in their international friendly game against Costa Rica.
We gathered they were dropped from the team on the grounds of administrative issues.
Below is the list of 25 players who were at the Moroccan embassy for issuance of visa.
