Two players from Kenneth Omeruo Football Academy have joined Spanish side Leganes, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
The duo of Samuel Obaleh and Obi Martins will join the B team of the relegated LaLiga side from where their progress will be monitored for promotion to the first team.
They will be hoping for better fortune than Success Makanjuola who didn’t make the step up from the youth team of Leganes. It is the dream of Kenneth Omeruo who is the financier of the Academy that they join him in the first team in the nearest future.
Speaking on the transfer of the player, Omeruo said to him it’s a dream come true that he is using his position to impact the lives of young footballers just as it was with him few years ago.
“ My satisfaction will be seeing one of these boys play for the Super Eagles while I seat at home and watch on television. To me we can’t all depend on the government. We have to see what we can do as individuals”, he said.
