The first choice goalkeeper of the senior national team of Nigeria Francis Uzoho has been granted permission to hold transfer talks in order to seal a move to the French Ligue 1 in the ongoing transfer window.

Uzoho has been unstoppable for Cyprus side Omonia Nicosia since starring in an Europa League game against Manchester United. He has kept seven clean sheets in his last seven games. So good has he been that he is now the first choice for the first time since his move to the team two years ago.

The form hasn’t gone unnoticed and he is now in talks with an unnamed Ligue 1 side for a transfer in this January transfer window. We gathered both teams are close to agreeing a deal that will see him join the Ligue 1 side for a fee which is around €2m.

Sources exclusively told OwnGoalNigeria.com that the 24 year old has already been given permission to discuss personal terms. This season he has kept goal in 13 games in all competitions and conceded 12 goals while he picked up seven clean sheets.
