Former Manchester United Star, Memphis Depay, Robbed Of N.63bn

Burglars have broken into the home of Dutch forward, Memphis Depay, carting away valuables valued at €1.5 million (N630 million).

The incident happened as the Olympique Lyon forward was playing in the club’s 0-1 Lique 1 home defeat to Nice on Friday night.

According to AFP, ‘a source close to the case’ gave the figure of valuables lost in the heist, although police have yet to confirm it.

Depay, 24, joined Lyon from Manchester United, where he scored two goals in 33 appearances in 2017 having being recruited by former manager Louis Van Gaal.

A star of Netherlands run to the semifinal in the Brazil 2014 World Cup, the former PSV Eindhoven forward was named the world’s “Best Young Player” by France Football in 2015.
